Sunday School Recap from 8/18

*Fantasy Football draft TONIGHT @ Buffalo Wild Wings @ 8pm

*Our Sunday School class will now meet in the chapel, so the confirmation class can use our classroom.  This allows us a little more space too!

*Becky & JJ are inviting everyone over for the first Cowboys game on 9/15.  Details will come in the next couple weeks.

*Labor Day Progressive Dinner -Unless anyone would like to host main course at their house, we will omit this house and do heavy apps instead to have a little more to eat.  If you have any questions, you can email Allison B.

*This Sunday, bring your kiddos' and your backpacks to be blessed during the church service.  If you carry a backpack for work or school, feel free to bring it!

*Picnic in the Park is also this Sunday at 5.  We will meet at Frisco Commons.  This is a fun event to say to say goodbye to summer and hello to the new school year.  There is dinner, games, and fellowship.  Lots of fun!!

*Our class ramp build is 11/2.  If you have questions, you can contact Dustin.

*We will start a new study next week.  Corey will be on the lookout and will bring it next week.

Hope you all have been having a great week! It was so great to see some new faces this week to start our Fireproof study.  Welcome, and we hope that you will enjoy the study and the class!
We kicked off our Fireproof study on Friday with a viewing of the movie, then started the group study on Sunday.  We were able to get half-way through the first chapter, and we will finish up the discussion questions on Sunday.  For homework this week, please be sure to complete the questions on pages 16 and 17 as well as the individual and couple questions on pages 19-22.

*Dustin D is hosting a guy's afternoon to watch the Cowboys play this Sunday at their house.  Contact Dustin for more info. 
*Ladies who bought the Sip and Doodle coupon, Leslie is sending out an email tonight about the date we reserved. 
*Becky W is hosting a Scentsy party on Sunday, Sept. 23rd for all the ladies

Sunday School Updates 8/26

Annnnnd we are back!! It has been great having the class back together for the past 2 months after our long break while we all participated in the Disciple 1 Bible Study.

Here's what's coming up.....

Today we finished up the lesson from "When the Game is Over, It All Goes Back in the Box. This brought up some good discussion of having a God-rich life.  We remembered Pat Brach as an example of such a well-lived life in class, as well as, the nursery dedication on Sunday. 

The nursery renovation is complete, and we were able to get a glance at JeanAnn's mural on the nursery wall (It's beautiful!).

We will begin our Fireproof study on Sunday, Sept. 9th, kicking it off with a movie night to watch the movie on Friday, September 7th at 7pm in the loft. Free childcare is available, but they need to know ahead of time how many kiddos are coming, so they have enough workers.

Progressive dinner is Sunday, September 2! Email will be sent out letting everyone know the plans for Progressive dinner.

Sip-n-Doodle, for those who bought the Groupon, an email will be sent out soon - we are looking at the first Saturday in Oct.
